CLEOPATRA

Cleopatra - The Miracle Players
June 22-27  Rome's wacky English-speaking group of comic actors welcome in the summer season with a brand new production. For the last 13 years The Miracle
Players have been re-enacting the eternal city's glorious past in the suggestive scenery provided by the Roman Forum, each year focusing on a different
personality of Roman history, from the seven Kings of Rome to Julius Ceasar to Michelangelo. This year it's Cleopatra's turn, with a plot that follows
the life and loves of the famous queen and her involvement with two of the most famous Romans of her day: Mark Antony and Julius Caesar. The play, written
by Denise McNee, is based on Plutarch, Suetonius, Cassius Dio, Shakespeare and others.
IN ENGLISH AT THE ROMAN FORUM EVERY FRIDAY AT 19.30. FOR FURTHER INFORMATION TEL. 0670393427, WWW.MIRACLEPLAYERS.ORG.
