Orientation : WELCOME

Great success yesterday at the Welcome Neighbor Orientation organized by Paula Morandi Treu, President of Vivi Vejo onlus, a non profit organization which
was founded three years ago in Rome to improve the quality of life in the Northern Rome area.  Over 50 people attended and a very touching commemoration
of 9-11 was held, highlighting the fact that it is so rewarding to see so many different nationalities together in one room, in peace and joy.
Paula talked about the various projects Vivi Vejo is involved in, after three years since it was founded, on September 11th 2009: from the Literary Contest
for kids, the Art Competition, the courses to train volunteers to assist the blind, the conferences about cleaning and respecting the environment, the
Italian Conversation classes for foreigners.
Welcome Neighbor organizes coffees and lunches once a month, mainly in Olgiata, and it is a wonderful way to meet other expats and get involved in the local
community.
