Over 40 people representing so many different countries from Russia, to Lithuania, Germany, The Netherlands, Norway, the UK and the US, as well as Canada, Ghana, Mozanbique, Ethiopia, Denmark, the US and many more, all gathered for the first Welcome Neighbor pot luck lunch held today in Olgiata. So many new wonderful ladies who have either come to Rome for work reasons or to accompany their husbands who have been transferred here temporarily to work in managerial positions for FAO, WFP, Alitalia, EThyad, Ford, Unilever or an Embassy. Some of the ladies have already signed up to volunteer for one of the many projects offered, to help the community and make themselves useful. Many announced their activities like music and dance lessons for children in English, Italian and Middle Eastern cooking lessons, children casting for movies, Bible studies and English Speaking Churches, maids and babysitters, landscaping and many more.Welcome Neighbor continues to be successful thanks to the wonderful people who take part in it and who make up the Welcome Neighbor community. Once again the main comment today was how easy going, smily and friendly people are.
