Welcome Neighbor salutes our dearest friend June...

It is with the deepest sorrow that I have to give all my Welcome Neighbor Friends this terrible news. Our deepest condolances go out to her daughter Paule Beretta and her family.  she will always be remembered as happy and delightful June, the life of the Party!
Her name was June H.Beauchef
She had left her little village in upper NY state and went to work in NY before starting the FAO with a small group of people (12). She came to Europe with
this commission in Copenhagen where Rome was chosen for the FAO to be started and she worked in Rome during a few months in 1946. She met my Dad in Geneva
after....and both started a business with sunglasses which became the n°1 in Europe....when my Dad passed away end of 2005, we bought her along. She spent
3 and a half years here and met such nice people. She loved being here. We had finally organized life between her in lovely Olgiata and Veyrier du Lac
close to Annecy, 40 kms from Geneva where she spent most of her life.
Julie, Sandra Goffin and Cristiana Ladki had made a lovely movie of her which has won a prize. It's a 6 minute movie which we showed in Annecy for her funeral.
We had such notice for everything!
