news from Haiti

The destruction in Haiti is unimaginable. Bodies are piled along the streets, buildings are now rubble, homes have been wiped out … and families weep over
the loss of their loved ones.

The death toll will reach into the tens of thousands, and in one of the poorest nations of the world, rebuilding will take years …
survival is the key,
hour by hour, day by day.

LIFE is in a first-response mode with mission partner -- David Heady -- assessing needs. His clinic is overrun with critical patients, broken bones and
burns. Fires still burn in many areas, and supplies for the burn team are badly needed.

Please pray for our mission partners and workers on the ground -- for their safety as they continue to provide reports and assessments.
With your help
crisis funds will help deliver much-needed survival items.

In the days following, disease, unclean water, lack of shelter and medical care will affect thousands. LIFE will be there as the team continues to develop
relief efforts for families in need. Thank you for reading this update, for praying and for giving to make a difference for others in light of this disaster.

Additional reports from the field will be posted on
lifetoday.org
as we receive them.
