Summer Camp Facilitators
We are looking for enthusiastic, energetic, and dedicated individuals to join our summer camp team – working with children is a rewarding yet demanding job that requires patience and strength of character.
Our Summer School Program promises to keep you engaged and active each day. You will need good organizational skills, leadership and maturity. The students in our program are predominantly from the local area of Rome. However, the program is carried out in English and excellent communication skills are essential.
Camp Activity Facilitators will lead or assist in leading the various program sessions and the general activities in mornings/afternoons. You may also be required to assist on day trip excursions.
Hours of Work
Camp hours are 9:00 -3:30pm. Camp Activity Facilitator hours may vary depending on the contracted sessions.
- Teaching / coaching groups of children in a range of sessions and activities
- Create and prepare lesson plans for your particular special interest activity
- Help design, prepare and implement morning and afternoon activities
- Lead, supervise or assist with an activity session
- Ensure that the students are safe at all times during an activity or on a day trip
- Assist with meal time and break time supervision
- Assist, whether on duty or not, in emergency situations, or where a student is ill or injured
Must have...
- English Mother Tongue
- Experience of, and/or genuine enjoyment of working with children
- Strong communication skills, ability to work under pressure, flexibility
- Ability to take control of and lead a group of children on activities and during excursions
Would help...
- First Aid qualification
- Life guard qualification
- Experience and or qualifications in leading groups of children in Art, Drama, Computers
- Experience and qualifications in coaching other sports
- Italian Language Skills, but not necessary
