A TRULY WONDERFUL SPRING LUNCH WITH SPEAKER MARGRIT MAU ON ALOE

Beautiful setting, gorgeous weather, nice people. friendly atmosphere, interesting subject, great food.  What more can you ask for on a Tuesday April morning with the Welcome Neighbor crowd?
Margrit Mau gave a few notions on the endless properties of aloe vera connecting them to a purification or cleansing process which she recommends with Forever Living.
But Welcome Neighbor, which has been gathering expats together for the last 30 years in Rome, is especially about solidarity and help and with the    dramatic news which have been covering the headlines the last couple of days it would have been impossible not to include a thought to all those hundreds of people who fled from their countries in the desperate attempt to find a new home away from war and hunger, only to find death  at sea not far from the Sicilian coast.  Squares of multicoloured fabric were cut by each guest and will be sewn together by the refugees at the center beneath St Paul Within the Wall and on Friday evening a huge solidarity flag will be exposed outside the Church.
A big thank you to our Swiss born hostess Valerie Paganuzzi who opened her beautiful villa in Olgiata to lots of  wonderful smiling ladies.
